As a contractor, your business's New Year's resolution is simple: increase revenue while lowering overhead. You can partly achieve the latter by learning about us and renting excavators at our agency. We'll outline a few other New Year's resolutions for contractors working out of Monroe.
1. Invest in Marketing
Have you heard of the phrase "to make money you have to spend money?" This is true in any line of business. For 2018, consider creating a company website if you don't already have one. This will create new leads much more than you can acquire from word-of-mouth alone. With a website, you'll also have to invest in SEO and high-quality content.
2. Aim for Customer Satisfaction
Customer satisfaction means more referrals, repeat business, and less social media complaints that could damage your reputation. One way to increase satisfaction is to keep in contact with clients throughout multiple phases of the construction.
3. Don't Accept Every Project
Don't feel like you need to accept every construction project. You'll know from experience and instinct when clients might be the hard-to-deal-with type. Be willing to turn down work that you believe will lead to unnecessary aggravation.
4. Hire the Right Subcontractors
Be a bit pickier about who you hire for subcontract work. This may include, for example, only hiring those who have a minimum 10-years of industry experience. This way, you can promote your business as bringing on board only the most competent and seasoned professionals.
May 2018 be a prosperous year for your contracting business. We hope to be a part of that. Active Excavator Rentals provides excavator and breaker and hoe pack rentals at a low cost. At the start of every year, we become a part of a contractor's New Year's resolution for cost-of-operation savings.
